Youtube launches new app: Youtube Kids

Google has just released a new app targeting a younger audience, specifically kids. It’s been rumored that the tech giant has been working on this project for some time now, and from the looks of it, they did a spectacular job. This app showcases different kid-friendly shows, such as Sesame Street, Reading Rainbow, Thomas and Friends, and a whole lot more. Accessibility on mobile devices is the primary way to use this service, by downloading it via the App Store for iOS, or Google Play store for Androids. The app itself is free, and with the content being offered, its safe to say that there will be a ton of happy parents across the U.S. with yet another distraction to keep their kids entertained, whether its on the go or at home.

As of 2/24/15, the app already has 302 reviews at an average of a 4.5/5 star rating. We give this one a thumbs up!

The app also has a built in timer, which allows parents to set a specific time on how long their kids can watch shows using the app, which will automatically shut down the app once the timer reaches its limit.
